Located around 60 km from Can Tho city center, Bang Lang Stork Garden belongs to Thoi Binh hamlet, Thoi Thuan commune, Thot Not district, Can Tho city. In order to go inside the Stork Garden, you need to move by boat. Here, you can see a wide garden with various species of storks. Especially, if you come here in the early morning, you can also admire the flocks of storks flying out to search for food or in the afternoon when they fly back to their nests. If you are a nature lover who loves to explore the world of the storks then Bang Lang Stork Garden will be a meaningful place to visit.

In addition to Cai Rang Floating Market, My Khanh Ecotourism Village, Ninh Kieu Wharf, etc. when visiting Can Tho, you definitely cannot ignore Binh Thuy Ancient House on Bui Huu Nghia street, Binh Thuy Ward, Binh Thuy District, Can Tho City.

The ancient house was built in 1870 by the Duong family with a typical Southern architecture. It has 5 compartments, 2 wings and a sophisticatedly carved wooden house frame. Inside the courtyard, there is an orchid garden and a cactus with the age of around 40 (also known as “Kim Lang Tru”) which has made a record for the highest cactus of Vietnam.

Although the house has a design of French architecture, it still represents Vietnam Southern typical architectural style by the way it is decorated and a large number of antiques that are preserved carefully through many generations. It is used to be the context of many famous films such as Nhung neo duong phu sa (Alluvial Ways), Nguoi dep Tay Do (Beautiful girl of Tay Do), No doi (In debt with life), etc.


Located at No. 612, Cach mang thang Tam Road, An Thoi Ward, Binh Thuy District, Can Tho City, Nha Nam Pagoda is not only valuable for religion purpose, it is also a meeting place of the patriotic scholars of Dong Du movement (1907-1940), Special Committee of Hau Giang, Nam Ky Party Committee in the early difficult years of Vietnam’s revolution.

The pagoda was built in 1895 by Mr. Nguyen Giac Nguyen, a follower of Minh Su sect so it is also called Minh Su Pagoda. The outside of the gate was built with ancient bricks, and there are three Chinese characters “Nam Nha Duong” carved on the gate. The yard is surrounded by a large garden stretching to the river bank with many kinds of trees as well as precious bonsai with the age of around 100. In the main temple stands an altar worshiping Giac Nguyen, the pagoda founder, Lich Dai Sensei, and a three-religion altar with three bronze statues of Sakyamuni Buddha, Confucius and Laozi.

Visiting here, you will not only have chance to admire the ancient and solemn beauty of the pagoda but also learn about the history of Vietnam in the hard years of revolution to have respect for the current peaceful life.
